Uplifting Love Poem: Lost & Found
Our aspirations to accomplish our goals and dreams
Can easily impair our vision as we work toward those things.
We can become so intoxicated by where we want to be
That we can forget about the standards we had set
For the person who would be with us during our journey.
We can easily lose ourselves
By trying to get to the right place with the wrong person
And we can easily fool ourselves
Into making the wrong person feel worthy,
But when we find ourselves, we realize we’re more deserving.
We all can get lost in a search for something we never had,
But it’s vital to our minds, emotions, and future
That we reintroduce ourselves to the person we used to be.
The longer it takes to realize that we’re neglecting who we really are,
The more we may not recognize ourselves after the scars.
